# Peakfijn

> Peakfijn is an Amsterdam-based software development agency and venture builder, founded in 2013. We help aspiring tech entrepreneurs and startups succeed by building top-notch software, from native apps and web applications to fully private, sovereign AI solutions. We work with you instead of for you, so your success drives ours.

## What we do

- We build native apps, web applications, APIs and custom AI solutions for ambitious startups and corporate startups.
- We focus on maximizing the effect of your available resources rather than billing as many hours as possible. Projects start from a minimum budget of EUR 25,000.
- We help set up your own in-house development team in an average of 6 to 12 months, so you can keep growing independently. We aim to be no longer operationally involved by the time you reach Series A.
- Select startups can pay part of our fee (up to 25%) in equity. We never work for equity only, and any equity is independent of the cash fee we invoice.

## How we work

- We follow Scrum principles, working in two-weekly sprints with rapid, iterative delivery.
- Fast-paced cooperation using remote tools such as Slack and video calling.
- We keep our core team small and agile, hiring the best-fit experts for each project.
- We prefer building custom Python and TypeScript software and AI solutions over CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal or Shopify.

## Artificial intelligence

We build custom AI solutions that run fully private and sovereign: on your own infrastructure, with your own models, without your data ever leaving your company.

- Your own LLM: we run and fine-tune open-source language models on your hardware or private cloud, with no dependency on Big Tech.
- RAG infrastructure: we connect models to your own knowledge sources for accurate, traceable answers based on your documents, data and context.
- Tooling and integrations: from smart assistants to automated workflows that slot into your existing systems.
